DevOps Engineer (AWS + CDK)

Your mission

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of and scale our AWS infrastructure, streamline deployments, and ensure high availability and security across all systems. You’ll work closely with our engineering teams to make the software delivery process fast, reliable, and cost-efficient — all powered by AWS and the AWS CDK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and enhance AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python)

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar)

  • Automate deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.)

  • Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices

  • Manage networking, security groups, IAM roles, and secrets securely

  • Drive AWS cost optimization and resource tagging strategies

  • Collaborate with developers to streamline the development-to-production process

  • Participate in on-call rotations and assist with incident resolution

Your profile

Must Have

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudFront, etc.)

  • Proven experience using AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, etc.)

  • Good scripting skills in TypeScript, Python, or Bash

  • Solid knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)

  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and AWS best practices

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS cost optimization and tagging strategies

  • Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)

Deine Aufgabe

Wir suchen einen DevOps Engineer, derdie Verantwortung für unsere AWS-Infrastruktur übernimmt, diese skaliert, Deployments optimiert und eine hohe Verfügbarkeit sowie Sicherheit über alle Systeme hinweg gewährleistet. Du arbeitest eng mit unseren Engineering-Teams zusammen, um den Softwarebereitstellungsprozess schnell, zuverlässig und kosteneffizient zu gestalten – basierend auf AWS und dem AWS CDK.

Hauptaufgaben

  • Entwurf, Wartung und Weiterentwicklung der AWS-Infrastruktur unter Verwendung von AWS CDK (TypeScript/Python)

  • Aufbau und Pflege von CI/CD-Pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline oder ähnliche Tools)

  • Automatisierung von Deployments, Infrastruktur-Bereitstellung und operativen Workflows

  • Überwachung, Fehlerbehebung und Optimierung der Systemleistung mithilfe AWS-eigener Tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray usw.)

  • Implementierung von Best Practices für Logging, Alerting und Observability

  • Sichere Verwaltung von Netzwerken, Security Groups, IAM-Rollen und Secrets

  • Umsetzung von Kostenoptimierungsstrategien und Tagging-Konzepten in AWS

  • Zusammenarbeit mit Entwickler*innen zur Optimierung des Development-to-Production-Prozesses

  • Teilnahme an Rufbereitschaften (On-Call Rotation) und Unterstützung bei der Incident-Resolution

Was Du dafür mitbringst

Must Have

  • Mindestens 4 Jahre Erfahrung in einer DevOps-, SRE- oder vergleichbaren Rolle

  • Fundierte praktische Erfahrung mit AWS-Services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudFront usw.)

  • Nachgewiesene Erfahrung mit AWS CDK zur Umsetzung von Infrastructure as Code

  • Sicherer Umgang mit CI/CD-Tools (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodePipeline oder ähnliche)

  • Gute Scripting-Kenntnisse in TypeScript, Python oder Bash

  • Solides Wissen in Docker und Container-Orchestrierung (ECS, EKS oder Kubernetes)
